I don’t usually watch the Oscars, and this clip was rather difficult to watch at work…hopefully my co-workers will think the sniffling is just allergies.

i am constantly amazed at how many of us know god so well that we know when he is disappointed with someone else but not so well that we don’t know when he’s not so pleased with us. that was a brilliant minute and a half.

I missed the earlier part of the Oscar broadcast and was wondering who was the young man they kept showing during Sean Penn’s acceptance speech. Now I know and understand. Thank you.

His speech (and Sean Penn’s) really made the night for me. So thoughtful, loving, intelligent, thoughtful, wonderful … he is a fantastic model for young people everywhere. I’m glad they took advantage of being on a national stage to say things that are SO important and wonderful.

By far, the most moving Oscars speech ever. Halle is a close second.

That was one of the best acceptance speeches. Ever.
It was breathtaking and heartbreaking at the same time.
And I hope that this speech was the door that opened to much-needed conversation in homes, businesses, churches, schools across the country and around the world.
